Alexa Jones wins MISS CALIFORNIA TEEN USA 2012

Alexa Jones, former Miss Orange County Teen Regional 2012 wins the State Pageant on January 8, 2012.

Alexa Jones, 18, won the title, Miss Orange County Teen Regional 2012 last August 6, 2011. After much training from her Pageant Director, Giselle Boone, her life changed to what was to be the best year for Alexa Jones and Orange County.

Miss Orange County Teen Regional 2012 wins one of the biggest Teen crown in California. She was crowned Miss California Teen USA 2012 last Sunday afternoon, August 8th in Indian Wells, California. The competition had the biggest number of contestants in California and it was a 3 day event filled with excitement and surprises. Alexa made it to the top among more than 117 contestants. "I was holding my breath for her, for the top 20, top 10 and top 5 because it was a really tight competition and I'm so glad that she did her best. I knew that Alexa could do it because she is just a very confident and amazing young lady," said her pageant coach, Giselle
Boone.

Jones, 18, had graduated early from high school and entered college at the age of 17, as a communications major at the University of California, San Marcos. "She is an amazing girl and I had trained her for months in all the skills necessary to succeed at the State Pageant."

The Orange County Director, Giselle Boone was very excited because this is the first year that she produced the 2012 Miss Orange County Regional and Miss Orange County Teen Regional under her directorship. "It is so awesome that our first year is filled with excitement and blessings. We worked so hard in training these girls and it is something that we are passionate about. I am so glad that Alexa Jones won because all of our hard work really paid off."

Her victory didn't come so easy for us. While training, Alexa received horrifying news about her father, who passed away in a car accident. She had to fight the grief in recent weeks leading up to the State Pageant.

Alexa has received numerous special awards including the outstanding leadership, academic achievement and was the recipient of multiple scholarship awards.
In addition she has earned the President Volunteer Service Award-Gold for her work with community and charitable organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Children’s Hospital and Muscular Dystrophy Association. She has served as a four-year member and Captain of the Varsity Cheer team at Ramona High School.

"We are so proud of her and we are so glad to bring the State crown to Orange County. I remember after the pageant, she was taken away by several news media along with having professionals that took care of her new dress, fresh makeup and hair style and she was interviewed by all sorts of media which she handled very well after crowning."
